About me

About me

Welcome to my little place in the Internet!

My name is Emilia Tyl, and I am a young game developer from Warsaw. I am currently part of the Tabasco Interactive team. We’re creating really polished 3D mobile games, currently released are Star Horizon, Kickerinho and it’s sequel - Kickerinho World, featuring multiplayer mode created by me. At Tabasco I am mostly responsible for a backend servers in Node.js supporting our games in various ways. Despite the fact that currently my main programming language seems to be JavaScritpt, my one and only true love is C#.

Therefore the main topic of this blog is widely understood game development - creating backend, UI’s and sometimes even some thoughts on game design and monetization. I also like writing about conferences and game events I take part in.

I started this blog in 2016, when I took part in “Daj się poznać” contest. The challange was to develop a pet project and write about it twice a week, for 3 months. It was really hard - of almost 300 participants only 70 made it to the end. I did to. :) I also managed to take the 4th place. My pet project was my master thesis, which involved creating games with branching stories using temporal logic. This year I’m also planning to take part in this contest, but with more interesting topic this time! ;) Stay tuned!

Some basic information

I’m 26 years old and I’ve recently finished studies on Warsaw University of Technology, acquiring Master’s degree. I’m really into game development, but besides programming my hobbies are board games and pole dance. I’ve also recently started to fulfill my lifetime dream - to learn how to play the piano. :)
